He made opera sexy and approachable for me when I started singing. My teacher would have me watch him in action and I was in awe of his technique.
It's sad for me because he's an icon and his talent will be missed.
My prayers go out to his family.

Yes...I think people who are unaware of how a single voice can stir so much emotions in someone will never know why people are sad at such a loss.
