Japan is beautiful after the rain....
Takayama...atmospheric! Another quaint town that must be visited...their speciality "Hida" beef on skewers. Like all Japanese towns there is at least one place you must visit, one type of food that you must try and a local artwork that it is famous for that you will likely buy. Double click and you'll see what I mean by atmospheric.

Hadi, your pictures are breathtaking! Talk about atmospheric. I've been telling people I have this friend that went to japan. It's like I went with you. Thank you for sharing these. They're so good!
Your camera was so worth the price. Where those pics taken on auto or did you have to tweak it?
It is taken in P with WB Cloudy + 3 and ISO 400. Auto tends to take away the contrast a little and I also had the vivid filter on which gives you warmer colours.
Cloudy +3 makes the images earthy while -3 will make your whites whiter. I don't know how to explain that in photographic terms but that was what I discovered after taking multiple shots of a white wall in these settings.
I can still remember fall in Connecticut - my boss used to live there. The maples are almost the same but Japan is something else.
I think it is because of the mountains and the how the clouds just seems to rollover them and the slight wintery drizzle. Makes you want to cuddle up by the fire and just not do anything else.
