Was there any dust in the room?
Not that I could see - it was wiped down real good. The lady at the receptionist was very sweet - a young girl in her late teens! We gave her an Australian Plush toy to just say thank you and she was so very happy.
If you are ever in Japan, people like little plush toys so don't forget to bring a dozen at least...to thank them for letting you take their picture and so forth. It helps as well if you are staying at a place longer that a week.
