The plan coming out of this month's rather uneventful existence is to listen to a myriad of sound to acquaint myself with up and coming singers including those from Britain. So here is Beverley Knight in her I think 2004 album ... her sound is less to be desired if you are looking for Aretha but it is all about having the "feel good" response and that she does. Need to look at her newer albums to see how she has developed but here is a vid on youtube. There is also a rather distinct sound coming out of Britain vs. East/West Coast coloured singers which are refreshing at times.
